The story of Pearson Tutoring began in 2012 when Brian Pearson was looking for a way to support himself through his studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Brian began tutoring a student through a family contact, which led to being offered additional students through a local tutoring company.

 

The fulfilment Brian felt when helping students with their education made him realise his passion in tutoring. After graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Hons.), Brian started tutoring under his own name as he progressed through his engineering career. As a move towards furthering his career in tutoring, Brian started tutoring under his own business as a sole trader in 2017.

In 2018, Brian enrolled in a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and was later offered an assisted teaching role at a local school in 2019. These responsibilities made it difficult for Brian to continue servicing his current capacity of students. This birthed the idea of Pearson Tutoring as a way to grow his passion while also continuing to achieve his personal goals. Brian has taken a step back from his Master of Teaching (Secondary) studies while he focuses on Pearson Tutoring.

Today, we are a young and passionate team of tutors who focus on building a positive environment around teaching and education for students.
